HCLSoftware to Acquire Robotiq.ai, Bringing Enterprise RPA to HCL UnO Agentic

Zagreb, Croatia, 28 September 2026 - HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, the Zagreb-based enterprise Robotic Process Automation company. The acquisition is expected to close in November 2026.

Robotiq.ai's RPA platform will become part of HCL UnO Agentic, extending that platform from orchestration into execution. The combination allows AI-driven workflows to complete work inside applications where APIs are unavailable or insufficient, which remains the case across a significant share of systems running in banking, insurance and telecommunications.

Why this matters for enterprise automation

Enterprises are moving past AI experimentation toward automation that runs in production, under real security and audit requirements. AI agents can reason and decide. A large share of enterprise work, however, still happens inside applications with no API, or with an API that does not go far enough.

That gap is what Robotiq.ai was built for. The platform automates work across legacy systems, desktop applications and web portals, with monitoring, governance and full audit logging built in. It is used today by large banks, insurance groups and telecom providers, and carries ISO-certified security with flexible deployment options.

"Enterprises are looking beyond AI experimentation toward production-scale automation that is secure, governed and reliable," said Kalyan Kumar, President, HCLSoftware. "Robotiq.ai strengthens HCL UnO Agentic by combining orchestration with enterprise-grade execution, helping customers confidently deploy and scale agentic AI across their operations."

From Zagreb to global scale

Robotiq.ai was founded in 2018 by Darko Jovišić, Marko Gudelj and Ivan Belas. At a time when most of the regional market was building service companies, the founders chose to build a product, and to build it for environments where automation has to work every time rather than merely demonstrate well.

"We built Robotiq.ai on a simple belief: automation should be useful, fast to deploy, and reliable in production," said Darko Jovišić, CEO and Co-founder of Robotiq.ai. "Joining HCLSoftware gives our technology the enterprise reach, scale, and platform. Together with HCLSoftware, customers get automation that doesn't stop at the task. It becomes part of an orchestrated, governed process across the entire enterprise."

What this means for customers and partners

Existing contracts and support arrangements remain unchanged. Customers continue working with the same teams they work with today.

Over time, the combination gives customers a single path to end-to-end automation rather than stitching together separate tools from separate vendors. Workflows can be orchestrated and executed on one platform, with governance and auditability across the whole process.
